  • Cups + spoons

Activity Instructions:

  1. Pour baking soda into bottom of container.
  2. Add glitter
  3. Pour vinegar into cups + add pipettes or measuring spoons.
  4. Using pipettes, measuring spoons, and cups, let your toddler have fun adding vinegar to the baking soda

Additional Toddler Notes:

  • 1-2 year olds: provide hand over hand help, especially in the beginning to help them learn how to squeeze the pipettes to get liquid from one container to another.
  • Using larger pipettes will be easier for toddlers to squeeze and will suck up more liquid than smaller ones.
  • Pouring out of larger vessels such as cups will give larger reactions with the baking soda. Experiment with differently sized vessels for your toddler to see how the reactions change.
