Snowman Yogurt

This snowman yogurt recipe is proof that festive meals don’t have to be complicated. I spent maybe 5 minutes making this for both of my toddlers using yogurt and fruit I normally give them. And they turned out so cute! They loved their snowmen!

  Banana
 7 Blueberries

Snowman Yogurt

General Directions:

  1. Scoop desired amount of yogurt into bowl and smooth out the top using back of spoon.
  2. Wash strawberry and blueberries.
  3. Cut strawberry in half lengthwise and set 1 half aside.
  4. Cut a slice off other half, then cut in half to create a piece for nose.
  5. Peel banana.
  6. Cut top off banana and cut 3-4 slices.
  7. Form Santa hat by placing strawberry half at top of bowl. Then place banana tip over pointy end of strawberry. Place banana slices over other end of strawberry.
  8. Using blueberries, create eyes and mouth.
  9. Using strawberry slice, create snowman nose.

Beginner:

1. Using hand over hand help, scoop yogurt into bowl.

2. Using a strainer, help to wash fruit.

3. Using hand over hand help and toddler chopper knife, cut strawberry.

4. Using hand over hand help and toddler chopper knife, cut strawberry again.

6. Using hand over hand help and toddler chopper knife, cut banana.

7-9. Form snowman using fruit, with help as desired. Can be abstract if given more freedom.

Experienced:

1. Help scoop yogurt with help as needed

2. Using a strainer, help to wash fruit.

3. Using hand over hand help and toddler serrated knife, cut strawberry. Or you can let your toddler try cutting by themself using toddler chopper knife.

4. Using hand over hand help and toddler serrated knife, cut strawberry again. Or you can let your toddler try cutting by themself using toddler chopper knife.

6. Using hand over hand help and toddler serrated knife, cut banana. Or you can let your toddler try cutting by themself using toddler chopper knife.

7-9. Form snowman using fruit, with help as desired. Use verbal/physical cues for placement.

Pro:

1. Scoop yogurt into bowl with help as needed

2. Using a strainer, wash fruit.

3. Using toddler serrated knife (with help as needed), cut strawberry.

4. Using toddler serrated knife (with help as needed), cut strawberry again.

6. Using toddler serrated knife (with help as needed), cut banana.

7-9. Form snowman using fruit, with help as desired. Use verbal/physical cues for placement.
