One Pot Cheesy Baked Orzo

This recipe is my family’s version of the Tik Tok viral Boursin cheese baked orzo recipes.

I absolutely love this recipe as it is super easy to throw together and is highly customizable based upon what vegetables and meats you have on hand. The recipe provided below is based upon the version we made per my 3 year old’s request for particular vegetables.

Supplies
 Dutch oven or baking dish
 Mixing spoon
 Tin foil (if using baking dish)
Ingredients
 2 Chicken breasts (chunked and cooked)
 1 ½ cups Orzo pasta
 6 Mushrooms (chopped)
 ½ Onion (chopped)
 1 cup Fresh or frozen Peas
 3 cups Chicken stock
 1 tsp Italian Seasoning
 1 5.3oz container of Boursin cheese

One Pot Cheesy Baked Orzo

General Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F if using dutch oven and 425 if using baking dish.
  2. Add orzo, vegetables, seasonings, cooked chicken, and chicken stock to dutch oven/baking dish.
  3. Stir until well combined.
  4. Nestle in Boursin cheese to middle of dutch oven/baking dish.
  5. Add lid or cover with tin foil.
  6. Bake for 30 minutes.
  7. Remove from oven and stir to fully mix in cheese. Mixture will still be liquidy at this point.
  8. Bake for an additional 10 minutes, uncovered.
  9. Remove from oven and stir contents.
  10. Let sit for a few minutes before serving.

2. Help cut/prep vegetables and help measure remaining ingredients. Add all ingredients to dutch oven/baking dish.

3. Help stir contents.

Notes: If adding cherry or grape tomatoes, add them to the dutch oven when adding the cheese. If adding spinach, stir it in at the end until all of the spinach has wilted.
