Marshmallow Frosting

This marshmallow frosting is the perfect topping for Hot Cocoa Cookie Bars. I made these for my son’s Grinchmas birthday party so I added green food coloring and decorated with Christmas sprinkles and Grinch hearts.

 Stand mixer with paddle attachment
 Measuring cups
 Spatula
Ingredients
 ½ cup unsalted butter (1 stick - room temperature)
 1 cup powdered sugar
 1 tsp vanilla extract
 7 oz jar of Fluff

 1 cup powdered sugar
 1 tsp vanilla extract

Marshmallow Frosting

General Directions:

  1. Add butter, sugar, and vanilla to bowl of stand mixer.
  2. Beat to combine by gradually increasing speed to medium-high until light and fluffy.
  3. Add in Fluff and combine on stir.
  4. Optional: Add 3 drops of food coloring and combine on stir.
  5. Once cookie bars have cooled, evenly spread frosting over the top.
  6. Decorate with Christmas sprinkles and Grinch hearts if desired.

1. Add pre-measured ingredients to mixing bowl.

3. Help to scoop Fluff into mixing bowl.

5. Help to spread frosting over cookie bars (may require hand over hand help).

6. Help to decorate with sprinkles.

Experienced:

1. Add pre-measured ingredients to mixing bowl.

3. Help to scoop Fluff into mixing bowl.

Pro:

1. Help to measure ingredients and add to mixing bowl.

2. Help to operate stand mixer to combine ingredients.

3. Help to scoop Fluff into mixing bowl and to operate stand mixer.

5. Help to spread frosting over top of cookie bars, with help as needed.

6. Help to decorate cookie bars.
